As the UK solar market accelerates toward 47GW by 2030, Genius Roof Solutions has appointed Liz Cammack as Non-Executive Transitional Chair to support its next phase of growth and standards alignment.
Genius, founded by lifelong roofer and innovator Jimmy Hall, entered the solar sector in 2011 to address a critical issue, mounting systems were being installed without sufficient consideration for roof integrity.
Liz Cammack brings over 15 years’ renewable energy experience. She co-founded Zenex Solar Ltd before its acquisition and later held senior leadership roles at Segen, one of Europe’s leading solar distributors. She also serves on industry bodies including Solar Energy UK, contributing to sector standards and policy dialogue.
Her appointment coincides with the implementation of MCS 3.0, which shifts accreditation to whole-system compliance. Genius has been working closely with mounting system manufacturers to ensure compatibility and specification alignment, positioning the company as both a product supplier and compliance partner.
